Other Groups

In addition to our weekly home groups, VCC meets regularly for a variety of other activities, as such:

Ongoing
Daily Scripture readings, daily via e-mail.  For years, a significant portion of our church family has been reading through the Bible together, sharing interaction with Scripture and one another through daily e-mails.  To join this list, e-mail . Use our calendar for daily schedule and Scripture links.

Homeschooling support group.  Many at VCC are homeschooling!  We meet regularly for play groups and activities, and have a private Facebook group dedicated to support in the adventure of homeschooling.  Contact our main church page on FB if you’d like to join.

Sundays
Worship circle, as announced, 6pm+.  Worship in a round with any acoustic instrument you can find, sheet music provided, all musicians/singers/worshipers are welcome.

Wednesdays
Ecclesiastes Bible study, 6:30pm.  A “micro group” small group format study of the Old Testament book of wisdom. We’re meeting in the church Living Room beginning Sept. 6 and then through the fall. All are welcome.

Saturdays
Vigorous yardwork day, random Saturdays, 8am+.  Weather permitting, we meet once a month to do landscaping and make the VCC grounds look extra spectacular.  Bring your own tools if you have them!

Second Saturdays singles, every second Saturday at the home of Bill & Christie Warnken. This is a great place for young adults to gather and explore discipleship and community.

Our Community

At VCC, we believe that church is not a function: it is a family. Our religion is only as alive as we are, the people that pursue it. So, rather than acting as an organization, we want to act as an organism. We have no time for casual contacts and meaningless formalities. We are a fellowship on an adventure towards the stuff of God. Church means worshipping God together, studying the Bible together, fixing our cars together, hiking together, eating together, playing together, praying together... enjoying the warmth of the Holy Spirit in all parts of our lives together, not just in appointed meeting times.
