Online church begins Monday 3/16!

As of Monday 3/16, in keeping with sound health practices and in order to honor the decisions being made by our local government and school systems, we will suspend all public church services until further notice.  This also includes all events that meet at the church building.  While we recommend home groups also taking a break for a time, that decision will be made by each home group leader, but assume your group is not meeting unless you are otherwise notified.

As we’ve been sharing, you can enjoy a virtual church experience by participating in livestreamed church services at the normal time; these services, complete with worship and a sermon, will also be available to view later after they are completed.  In order to participate or access on Facebook, you will need to friend @vccaugusta.

All are encouraged to continue regular monthly giving using our quick and easy online giving option; click here to participate!

Our church calendar on our website’s home page will continue to reflect all upcoming events in order to maintain a semblance of liturgy.

This note will be removed once we resume services and activities.

*****

Lord we praise you and bless you for the privilege of being our church in such a time as this!  Fill us with the power of your Holy Spirit that we may be people of peace and kindness to the world around us.  Comfort and heal those who are hurting and grace us with your presence that we may continue being the church community that we are even though we are not able to meet for a season.  We love you!  May your kingdom come to us afresh!!!

Our Community

At VCC, we believe that church is not a function: it is a family. Our religion is only as alive as we are, the people that pursue it. So, rather than acting as an organization, we want to act as an organism. We have no time for casual contacts and meaningless formalities. We are a fellowship on an adventure towards the stuff of God. Church means worshipping God together, studying the Bible together, fixing our cars together, hiking together, eating together, playing together, praying together... enjoying the warmth of the Holy Spirit in all parts of our lives together, not just in appointed meeting times.
